70s night on a cruise is such a fun theme to participate in for your vacation! Whether you are bringing out some old clothes if you lived through the era or are dressing up in something you bought for the theme, it’s tons of fun!
Hearing the music and dancing along with your fellow cruisers is always a great time.
Sometimes it can be hard to know what to wear, pack and/or buy for a cruise theme night though!

What activities happen on 70s night?
There will definitelly be a 70s party if you have this theme night on your cruise!
This could be on a promanade, an atrium, in a venue, etc. Just depends how the specfic cruise line likes to do it!
There will be 70s throwback music, dancing, staff performing, lights and more. They may even throw out some fun 70s themed accessories.
There will be time to socialize with other guests who are also participanting the in the theme, take pictures, dance etc.
Do I have to dress up?
No! The great thing about a cruise is you don’t have to participate in ANY theme night if you don’t want to!
Of course if you want to dress up for every theme I suggest finding out what they are before your cruise so you can bring the right clothes. You can do this by googling it, checking the cruise line’s app, talking to a travel agent or asking in a cruise Facebook group.
You also can participate in just one or a few theme nights but not all of them. There are no rules, just fun to be had!
I personally will normally dress up for a couple of the themes on a cruise but not every single one, especially if I don’t have clothes for them. I won’t always go out of my way to buy them.
The important part is you having fun! You can always still go to the events even if you aren’t dressed in theme.
